I do hope that as you get older and find more healing that you will reconsider your decision to not report your cousin for what he did to you. He is very likely still sexually abusing other little girls. Fact is, abusers don't stop until they are caught and made to stop. I understand your reasoning for staying silent. And I'm thrilled that you told and continue to get the help that you need. That really is the most important thing in your life right now. But whatever you decide, keep your support system close; your friend, parents and Linda are truly heroes in all this. And you, dear Megan, are very courageous to keep moving forward with your healing.

Hi Megan Let me say that you know you better than anyone else in the world. You need to think about your situation and decide what is best for you so long as you are honest with yourself and go on knowing that you didn't cause things you hate that happened to you, someone else caused you to be involved, you didn't ask for this, its not your fault. My story is one of severe physical abuse when I was around 5 or so I am lucky to have survived and that was 77 years ago as I am 82 now. I have seen many health experts over the years and have lived with ending my life by various methods many times over the years. I was never a kid that part of my life I lived in terror nearly every day and today I am not sure who the real me is. I promissed myself when I was around 5 or so how unlucky I was to have been born to the people that were my parents who hated my guts and I don't know why. I have been a super achiever for the last 77 years to prove my worth. You are lucky to have people around you that love and care about you, now you have to do the right thing and take care of you as well. I care about you........................
