You were directly abused by the man who sat on your pregnant mother and beat her. He forced you to witness spousal abuse which is a form of emotional abuse. What your mother's husband did to you was target you. And your mother was complicit in that abuse. What's important now is YOU, Kelli. As long as you hang onto that anger and hostility, it's you who will continue to live in a prison. There is nothing you can do to change what happened. You can only change your perspective of what happened. And your worthy of that change. Of living your life in peace and harmony. I send you love, light and healing energy. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.

 living with an abusive past

Hi Kelli........ Your story moved me to comment. See my story published on his web site.. Darlene is correct when she says you have to stop living the past and live your life. What you have to say reminds me of my own past and for me I learned very early on that I was unfortunate to have been born in the family I was instead of a normal family situation. I saw normalcy all around me and realizing that vowed never to allow where I was to own me ever. That was some 75 years ago when I was around 6 or 7 years of age and I am now 81. I to this day have nothing to do with my remaining brothers, I simply don't see them at all. I feel very strongly that in order to survive one has to embrace fully in your future whats good and normal for you. Eliminate from your head all the negative past and develope a positive view of the future and you will do ok. Thank you for listening to me, a fellow traveler........................
