It can be a very scary thing being yelled at and threatened. The fact that your dad smashed your head against the car is alarming, so that would add to your fear. Talk to a counselor at school to help you deal with your fears, Jessica. And for goodness sake, avoid doing anything that you know will result in a yelling fit, and worse. Your well-being is too important. And if your father does something as physically alarming as he did that day you told him to be quiet, consider going to Child Help for some support.
