Congratulations on writing a book. That can be very cathartic. As for your question, I have suspended my Ask Darlene feature. I now only provide space for visitors to share their experience, and I in turn offer supportive and encouraging comments when I can. All information and comments are copyrighted to those who have written them, therefore I cannot grant permission to use any responses in your book. Thank you for sharing with my visitors and me, and I wish you all the best in your search for answers.

It empowers one when one forgives his/her abusers:
by: maurice

They say time is the great healer: But it takes time for a percent of people who have been abused to forgive: It all depends on the help they sought to let go of the abuse perptrated on them: I live with knowing people who abused who don't believe they ever did wrong: that is why I find it hard to forgive anyone who abuses the innocent and vunerable child/adolecent/oung adult: Certainly family members they are the most vile of abusers in my understanding and accepting: Great you have found in your heart to Forgive: You sure are a very brave and strong woman: You are in a good place now in yourself and in your life because you found in your heart the part that allows you to do it: Mentally I have forgiven my abuser because he is dead because it gives me great peace of mind: Darlene's is my guide, my advocate, my peace of mind, she sure has given me hope that there is a life to be fully lived after abuse: Her site has proven that for me and gives me the chance to share my true feelings after reading the most honest and true telling of one's abuse story on her site: She is a great steward and real example of having been a victim of the worse abuse she endured to be a winner: in victory and now emporing each of us visitors by her loving womans heartfelt comments: She is a beacon of sure hope if we decide to act on her encourageing and emporing loving, kind words to us through her comments.
