 You're right; child abuse IS wrong and disgusting

Yes, Sierra, the book you read was very disturbing. I'm so glad you read it, because now you have a much better understanding of how child abuse must be dealt with. We all need to be outraged by such inhumane treatment of children. When youth such as you become outraged, it gives me hope that one day we will be able to at least curb the epidemic that is child abuse. It gives me hope that you, Sierra, and youth just like you, will grow up to have children of your own and know better than to abuse them, because you will have a greater understanding of appropriate and effective discipline. Because you will not bow to any violent urges. Because you believe in your heart that children deserve to be treated with dignity and respect.

Thank you for sharing your commentary. The world needs more outspoken people like you.

 I read that book too!

That book's author, Dave Pelzer, also wrote several other books, and he overcame his extreme abuse and forgave his mother. NOWDAYS he is doing quite well and has a wife, Marsha, and a son, Stephen

 Friend in Need

I have this friend who was molested by her dad. She was molested millions of times. If she would of told anyone he would of killed her. She did tell people. He didnt kill her. he would tie her up to her bed and hold her head straight and make out with her.
