Child Killer Sentenced to Death

by JWC

Joseph Edward Duncan III was sentenced to death by an Idaho jury. In 2005 he kidnapped Dylan Groene and his sister Shasta. During the kidnapping he killed three people: Dylan's brother, mother and her fiance.

He took the children to a campsite and raped them both, but Shasta survived and was eventually rescued when an alert waitress in a Coeur d'Alene restaurant recognized her and called police.

One can only imagine the horrors these children suffered during their ordeal and before the killing of Dylan. The long term emotional effects on Shasta could be devastating and certainly the life she will lead will be forever changed by the actions of this hideous animal.

I for one applaud the jury's decision to have this man put to death. Capital punishment is the punishment this man deserves.
