Excellent article! I agree with you on all aspects, especially: when a child is told either directly or indirectly through messages heard day after day that they aren't "good enough", it often becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy because that child has no self-esteem left to see the lies of what they've been told. Child abuse truly is a "lasting legacy". Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this issue with my visitors and me.

Empowering and constructive ananlysis of abuse: Reading through every thought of mine was positive, yes, yes, you sure have put all forms of abuse especially against children in total perspective: Great Society is more aware now through proper loveing and cherishing our children and safeguarding them is well and truly in place: Alas as you so rightly put it the effects on many after their abuse will never go away: Healed through counseling and therapy and with loyal and trusting people around them the Majority who suffered abuse are living theri lives to the full. Yes. but deep with in the physce of all abused are the lasting effects: I at 64 years of age I am living my life to the full, yet the efffects of my abuse survice from time to time especially with all the positive and healthy debate on the awfulness of abuse on a child/adolecent/young aduly Thanks a mill for your truthfullness: Thank you darlene for your vision and safe place for your many visitors to begin their healing process: You the best
