You are turning pain into power, Brad, by making what you lived through have purpose; namely your hypervigilance. Embrace it as a part of you. I did the same with perfectionism and being very organized. The difference between how I use it now and how I used to use it is that I no longer allow those traits to control me. Rather, they are tools I used to further whatever I'm working on; a huge asset for me. Yours will be too. Thank you for sharing more of your story and where you are today with my visitors and me.

 Life is but a learning if we only allow ourselves to learn

Empowering yourself from having worked through alot Brad P is you taking charge of your own life. Darlene sure gave you encourageing words to continue with I even learned from her in what she wrote about your working at and how she used her own life's experience to empower herself. Brad P keep it simple, take one day at a time, be gentle, kind and firm with yourself. you sure are on a good journey in yoursefl right now. Highly intelligent, highly motivated and certainly acknowledgeing one very fine specian of a human being of the male species. Great to read you story, most stimulating in positivity and to bring out Darlene's own beautiful uniquness in coping and empowering herself through her being miss perfect and miss orgainized she sure gave a natural way of using same to empower oneself. a lesson for me and us all to learn. Thank you both.
