It is possible that your dreams are showing you what's locked in your unconscious. But it's also possible that what you're dreaming about are not memories at all. In other words, you may never know whether or not you were sexually abused. What's important is the here and now. If this is adversely affecting you, consider talking to someone who can help you. This site is a place where victims and survivors can share their stories in a safe and anonymous place; a place where they often get supportive and encouraging comments from me and possibly other visitors. It's really not a place to get advice for what you're dealing with. It's not really a place for advice at all. So I suggest you seek out some form of counselling in order to help you deal with your dreams and your thoughts that they may signal that you've been sexually abused. But also remember this, if we look for something in particular rather than keep our minds open to all possibilities, we will likely find what we're looking for, even when it isn't the truth. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.
