Of course you wouldn't know you were being abused. How could you know. It might interest you to know that most young children DON'T know they are being abused until they get older. Until they learn somewhere along the way that what's happening to them is not only wrong, it's abuse. Your therapist brought to light what you needed to know and understand. And though he is now gone, that doesn't mean you can't continue to move forward in your healing and recovery. Stay in therapy. Don't be afraid; you've already survived the worst of it. You can learn to trust, but you'll need to continue to go through the process of healing first. Just be open and honest. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.
