Abuse is Abuse: You were the victim:
by: maurice

False trust: How we see others only at the surfice level of their living of life be they Church People/Families especially or whoever: Sadly a small percent of children from such families are no more equipped to baby sit than children from any neighbouring family: Your parents were fooled and let you down by having that Sicko of a teenager to baby sit you and your brother: You describe hime aptly: Not a good mixer, not able to relate to the opposite sex his own age: More than likely that age group could see through him: You were the innocent and vunerable child he abused; suffered at his perverted advances on you: You sure were let down by your parents when you trusted them telling them what he did to you: They sure did not love and cherish you as was their right as parents: Tori you are a brave woman now: You are aware that you were absued by him: Having been abused as a child one takes time to trust someone who really values and respects you: But Tori there are good people around you that you can trust: I am certain you have at least one person your own age who knows you and believes all you have shared with her: If not begin to trust the cloesest one's to you and allow them be your friens: A true friend is a must for us all: Now I hope you are in Education still: if not please think about getting back into college: You are inteeligent, you seem to be making progress to live your own life after abuse: I sincerely hope you do: Get a counsellor, A Therapist, You can trust them with all the details of what that abuser did to you: From that they will put your life in perspective for you: You will gain greater confidence in yourself to deal with your life after abuse: If you read through the stories and the comments here on Darlene's Safe Haven Site you will get great insight and support from what you read: There is life after having been abused: Tori I want what is the best for you: You must want what is the best for you too: Always believe in yourself: stay safe: Be safe: Don't allow another ever to abuse that beautiful body of yours: You be in charge of your own destiny: I will: I can: I must: Because I am WORTH it. Build up your self-esteem---self-worth: Let go of the people who did not love and cherish you as they should have: You are suffering the effects NOW get real help for yourself: Have a healthy mind in a healthy body: Get out of your enclosed surroundings taking part with others in sporting and cultural activities: It will open up new horizons for you and a breath of fresh air into your thinking and being: Off Your Bottom Ms Tori Tday:

You need to start a new life
by: Mike

Get some counseling to help you put all those years behind you, and if you're still living with your parents, see about government assistance to help you get out on your own, away from your parents. Getting out on your own can be a good way to start your new life.

Whatever you do, don't try to just put the past behind. That doesn't work. Get help, start over, move on, and start being happy. You deserve to be happy. Good luck.
