Your father is a very troubled man who is taking his troubles out on you. He's telling you lies about yourself. You are not all those terrible things. You are beautiful in your own right, and you deserve love and to be treated with dignity and respect. Please contact Child Help at 1-800-4-A-CHILD (1-800-422-4453) in order to talk to someone about the abuse you are still dealing with. They are staffed 24/7 with professionally trained counsellors who will listen to you. They are not a reporting agency, although they can help you through the process of reporting if you decide to disclose the abuse. The Demon Drink--Drugs don't give anyone the right to abuse
by: maurice

Hiya Sydney, thanks for sharing your fears especially in the hope you will be told it is not abuse: As I read what you have written and from many sharings from my childhood of Father's Parents who drank heavily taking it out in their children when they got home: In most cases it was just not being in control and having a clear mind: Sydney, your Father or indeed no one has the right to abuse, by slapping or hitting the innocent and vunerable child: In my own case the Man who abused me sure took it out on us in the school when he returned full of drink: He used to find reasons for lining us up out side his room so he could spank or beat us on our bare bottoms: He did it so bad on one occassion that he had to appologise to six of us for being so cruel: Sydney, please read Darlene's heart felt words to you: Be safe, stay safe, surround yourself with loving, caring, trusting people especially a friend or two your own age and gender so you can share your true feelings with them and all your girlie stuff with them: Then have a healthy mind in a healthy body: Sydney I can assure you you'll make real and genuine friends by taking part with them in Team Sports: and cultural activities: Oh yes there is safety in numbers: Value and respect your self and that beautiful body of yours: Be gentle and kind to it: You are gifted: Tallented and I am certain you have leadership qualities so share them with like-minded people helping you to have a healthy mind in a healthy body: Always believe in yourself:
