You were a child in an impossible situation. You had no control over what was happening to you or over what you were made to do. The very people in charge of protecting you and keeping you safe from harm were the very people doing the most severe damage. You didn't know any better, and even when you did, your choices were removed from you. My goodness, you were a child, Ryan. Don't ever lose sight of that. Please consider some form of counseling to help you put what happened in that hellhole into perspective. The guilt you carry isn't yours to shoulder. Guilt, shame, blame; all of it are on the shoulders of the so-called adults who chose to sexually offend their children: you, your siblings and cousins. This isn't on you, Ryan. It's on them. Remember that always. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.

It is not all you were goodfor. Those relationships turned sexual because of your past, not because of your worth. You obviously are a compassionate person and a great father. Believe that. Know that. Know that as a kid you did what you had to to survive. You survived! You ARE a survivor.

With that knowledge you can choose to heal. I recommend another book called The Courage to Heal, it helped me.

Ryan, I hope I don't sound mean when I say that your mother was a sick woman. She had no right to expose a child to something like that and then FORCE the child to do it for themselves.... that's just sick. You are NOT to blame for your mother's sadistic behavior. I think you should consider some counseling. No one deserves to be treated so terribly. Good luck :)

Ryan, your "mother" (well, if one can even call her that) is a really disgusting pervert and she should be incarcerated with her slimy mother and relatives for all those terrible and disgusting crimes that they committed against you because you did nothing wrong. You were the child; they were the adults; they had all the power and they misused it over you; they took advantage of your vulnerabilities. I hope that you are in a safe place now, and if not, then please tell someone you really trust.
