I commend you for trying to stay positive. And try to stay away from your abusive parents if that's at all possible. They aren't healthy for you right now. If it's possible, I recommend some form of counselling to help you deal with all the turmoil of your past, but also with the depression that still plagues you. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.

Darlene's site is truly a family one. bringing people ( Her Visitors) of all nationalties onto share their abuse story as a beginning for some healing and to be healed. Her comment to you Pete1 is from her heart to yours. Canada to Bankok no differnece because it is one human heart to another. Abuse is Abuse so Pete1 you are flesh and blood like each of us whatevr part of the world people were (are) abused in. Pete think positive thoughts about yourself. You are an intelligent young adult with awful childhood memories of an ABUSIVE horrid Father. (Parents) being at college affords you the opportunity to seek out the help of a counsellor in your college. The surest way forward for you. You can and you will have a good life to live after your abuse experience as a child/teenager. There is greatness and goodness in you. share that with you friends. Have a healthy mind in a healthy body. intergrate and mix with likeminded peers. show off your giftedness, your tallents, DON@T BE SHY. Look in the mirror she that hulk of guy and say ''wow'' that's me beautiful.
