 Your ordeal

Paul that is a fantastic work of art. What a way to put down your trauma. It must have been a terrible ordeal to be subjected to, and you have described the pain so well.

It may seem like the abuse will always haunt you, I still suffer the odd nightrmare even now. However with counselling or even your method of dealing with it, it becomes easier to deal with the pain and memories even thoough it seems like an impossibility. You are stronger than you probably give yourself credit for and you will beat this. Two years ago I was rock bottom, not just from the memories of suffering abuse, but from work place bullying and later unemployment. Thanks to counselling, I managed to rebuild my life and now have a fantastic job with great colleagues, I also have a great hobby with two teams and loads of fun.

Hang on in there, you can beat this pain, DON'T EVER GIVE UP

 neglect

Neglect

You sent me to school
with dirty clothes and holes in my shoes

Wore dirty socks on my feet
no breakfast and no lunch to eat

Neglect

Lay ed in bed for over a year
with pain in my mouth and ear
I must of cried a million tears
I was hurting so much
you knew i needed a doctor touch.

On most weekends it was the worst time
my sisters an i was all hungry
I think that was a crime
Mom would come home drunk an beat the hunger out of me
before she past out while watching tv.
