 A questioning and confusing time...

Yes, it's very possible that what you are going through now is as a result of various forms of abuse. The human mind is highly complex. As you grow and mature, you become more aware and understand more about right and wrong, which in turn may also bring about more memories of what happened to you in the past. It can be very disturbing to suddenly start remembering. Add to that, all that is happening to your body as an adolescent and the experiences that you are now engaged in; it can be a very confusing time in your life.

I recently wrote a reply to another contributor, 15-year-old Megan who asked: Why am I only now bothered by possible past sexual abuse? You might find my reply helpful at Some clarifications.

Regardless of what did or did not happen to you in your past, you are having difficulty coping now. You are troubled and very unhappy. I strongly recommend some form of counselling in order to help you with the turmoil you are currently facing. I don't know where you live, so I cannot offer a resource number. Try talking to a school counsellor; perhaps s/he can help with available resources. Check your local listings to learn if there are community resources available to you. Also, consider doing an Internet search using your country of original and the keywords "child welfare services." You're worth getting help for yourself.

 Your not imagining it.

Just because someone who hits you stop for a awhile, doesn't make it okay. You are too graphic with your abuse flashbacks to be imagining it. You just buried those awful memories and your god-brother's name brought them back out. The maid, your sister, your father, and god-brother should all be jail. You did nothing wrong, you were just a child. Seek counceling and don't feel like you owe those people anything. Good luck to you.

I just wanted to let you know that you are not alone...I myself was abused by my father and brother whilst my mother did nothing. I've had a lot of anger to overcome.

first of all I just whant to tell you that you are worth ALOT!!! That you deserve the best of the best! seek counsoling but first of all i want to tell you that there is someone that relly loves you..God the only thing you have to do is ask for help and I know he wil help you. i know because i was also abuse and he took all that anger,depression,and hate i had inside.God BLESS YOU!!
