Don't EVER blame yourself for what this sex offender did to you. This was NOT your fault. What he did is ALL on HIM. And he would have done what he did no matter what. This isn't about whether or not you packed your PJs. It's about power and control and sexual abuse. He took advantage of your vulnerabilities, before, during and after your stay there. Please tell your mother. She can help you. And by telling, even if you have to tell someone other than your mother (a school counselor, for example), you may well prevent another young girl from being molested. In all likelihood, your friend is being sexually abused by her father. Telling could make a big difference in her life and in yours. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.

It's not your fault!
by: BMW Princess

It's not a childs fault if s/he gets molested.
The adult knows better.
Try talking to someone about the self injury.
If you don't want to talk to anyone right now, try keeping your hands busy.
Play with a stress ball or fidgit with a necklace or chain.
Just some ideas
