You stood up to an angry and hostile bully that day. I now what that's like; I once stood up to my dad for his lord-and-master bullying, though my stance cost me a severe beating that left bruises all over my arms, legs, stomach and back. Sometimes we must stand up for what we believe and stand up to the bullies, but the consequences can be great. Many would cheer what you did (and I admit, there is a part of me that did as well), but what concerns me is the message you took away from that incident. But before I address that, I first will say that you didn't deserve to be abused. Second, neither did your sister or your mother. Third, I admire that you stood up for your sister. Now here is the concern I have: that you'll re-live this moment over and over in your life when you see injustices done, and that you'll put your Self in mortal danger doing so. You can't stand up for people if you've been seriously injured or killed. Understand that there are other ways to stand up to people that aren't so dangerous. You're a very caring and compassionate person, Lynne. Don't ever change that about your Self. Find ways to help others, and thus your Self, that are kind and compassionate and life-affirming. You're too special to lose to someone who might harm you or worse. I send you love, light and healing energy. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.
