This sicko of guy sexually assaulted you (yes, it WAS sexually assault—you do not have to be touched to be sexually assaulted: see my defintion of sexual abuse page on this site, in particular, the non-contact sexual abuse section). He took pornographic pictures of you as a child; and you're the one who's embarrassed? If there is any embarrassment to be had, it's on HIS shoulders, not yours. Never on yours. You did NOTHING wrong. You cannot put adult more mature values on what you did or didn't do as a child. You didn't move because that's what you knew to do at the time. You believed he would be true to his word and would show those pictures, so you kept the secret. He knew you would which is why he threatened you. He took advantage of your vulnerabilities, what pedophiles and sex offenders do to their young victims. Don't ever beat yourself up for that. Please consider some form of counseling to help you deal with the repercussions of what he did to you, Lori. You have nothing to be ashamed of. Nothing at all. Always remember that. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.
