You are anything BUT a weak link! The weak link in your family is your sex offender of a father. I'm not a clinician or a doctor, but you sound depressed. Keep in mind that depression means you've been trying too hard to stay strong. And STRONG you most definitely are!

All those things you keep calling yourself, they're lies. Pure lies. They apply to your abuser; not you. You ARE worthy of love. You are NOT disgusting or any of those other terrible things you keep telling yourself. Please talk to someone other than a friend, someone who is in a position to really able able to help you: a college counselor is a great place to start. Look into some resources available to you in your community. Your college should be able to help you in that regard. Just don't keep the secret any longer, because the only person you are protecting when you do is the man who doesn't deserve to be protected. And always remember, none of what happened was your fault. Fault lies solely and squarely on the shoulders of the sick man that sexually abused you. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.
