The system was grossly negligent, possibly even corrupt. They did not consider the best interest of the children when the ruling was made to take you both away from your loving mother. And there's no way your father couldn't have known about what his wife was doing to you. Two jobs of not, he would have seen the bruises, the other evidence, like your fear. Others would also have seen evidence, yet everyone turned a blind eye. Just don't allow what happened to you and your sister turn you into the monsters your father and stepmother were. Don't allow what the system did and didn't do keep you angry and hostile. That's their poison, not yours. You can choose the way you'll respond. Work toward bringing change in the world. Change that will ensure that another child doesn't have to suffer in the same way you and your sister did. Doing so would bring so much purpose to what you were forced to endure. And it would help to bring healing to you. I send both you and your sister love, light and healing energy, Hector. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.

I'm so sorry for your situation... it's amazing to me that you havea nephew from all that awful time... life is strong, Hector and YOU are strong... thank you for telling us ALL what you have been through... I can understand some of it. I am from a spanish father who could be so verbally and physically cruel to us... but there are gentle people out there who can help you heal from all that abuse. I am glad you reached out to your church. I have found great peace in going to Mass and talking with some priests and nuns... there are really good people in all churches who care... Take good care of yourself, God bless you.
