When I use the term "therapy", I'm referring to a wide range of therapeutic modalities. And that will look different for different people. But it's not only therapeutic modalities, but also healing modalities, such as tapping, EDMR, etc. What happened to you was so betraying on so many levels. You trusted your friend's mother because of her profession, and now that she betrayed you and her profession, after your father betrayed you, you have difficulty trusting. That's completely understandable. What's important is that you reach out to people who can help, people that you can trust. Which is what you're doing. So keep doing what works for you. Find ways to use what happened to you, sat home and with your friend and her mother, that can be helpful to you AND others. It is with helping others that we so often help ourselves. I send you love, light and healing energy, Emily. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.
