Clearly, this sick excuse of a man took advantage of your vulnerabilities as a little girl. He was a pedophile and knew exactly what to do to "groom" you,(and quite possibly your parents as well) and what to say to ensure you kept the secret. Don't ever blame yourself for that. Blame lies squarely on his shoulders. You didn't have any real power, Eleanor; he had it all. I do hope you're in some form of counseling in order to help you deal with the repercussions of this sexual abuse. And not just the sexual abuse, but also for the fact that your parents seemed clueless to what was happening to you when it was their job to know and protect you from harm. You didn't deserve to be abused. You DO deserve help now that you have. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.
