We all process trauma differently. The important thing is not to judge your Self. It's the judgment that prevents us from seeing the good in ourselves. So rather than judge your Self so harshly, embrace your Self fully. See all the qualities you possess. Find examples of those qualities. Write them down. Then display it prominently for you to see often. When you think something negative about your Self, immediately change it up with something positive. No matter what you endured growing up, no matter what you were told both directly and indirectly, you now have to take your power back by changing those messages. Because if you don't, you are abusing your Self in much the same way you were abused as a child. Treat your Self with the dignity, respect and love that were missing in your childhood. You can't change what you lived, and you can't change the way your mother chooses to see things now, but you CAN change how you see your Self. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me. I send you love, light and healing energy, Kris.
