Dave, if you haven't yet read Robert P's story on this site, I suggest you do; you have much in common with him. I also refer you to my comments to Robert dated Apr 15, 2008 titled Emotional abuse leaves much deeper scars than any other form of abuse... as I believe much of what I wrote to Robert also applies to your situation. When you get to the latter comment page, you'll have to scroll down to the bottom to read my post.

Keep writing, Dave, as it can be a very cathartic experience. Writing may also help you in your counselling sessions. I sincerely wish you and your caring, understanding wife all the best.
