You wrote: All those years, and it was that simple. It may have seemed that simple, Danielle, but you don't know what would have happened had you tried to leave sooner. So don't for one second believe that you are to blame just because you didn't. In spite of all the terrible abuse that you lived through you are still a straight A student. You should be very proud of yourself; that's quite the achievement. I'm very happy that you are now safe. You are a indeed an amazing bright young woman. Keep taking care of yourself.
