Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me. Trust me when I say that your story is every bit as horrifying as so many others who have shared on this site. Try not to minimize what has happened to you. I did that, and all it served to do for me was bury the pain, not deal with it. I had to unearth that pain in order to deal with all the turmoil and effects of being abused. Only then did true healing begin for me. I applaud that you've forgiven your mother and become close to her, but I still believe that some form of counselling can help you. I hope you'll consider seeking it out.

A man who hits/beats/abuses/ his wife or children deserves alot more than a prison sentence. He needs help. He also needs to be made feel the scumbag he is too. I have my own theory as to what should be done to such men. I am a 63 year of age a single male part of the 80% who respect themselves and therefore all others that they journey with married/single/otherwise but the majority of males are loving and caring. As indeed are women. Husbands/Wifes make great efforts to love and cherish the children they are blessed with. Bubbles your Father is not a man, Your mother is a good mother rearing and protecting her three children from this beast of a man. Your abuse is ever so real to you, is horrific. Now that you have found Darlene's Site. Her comment to you hopefully will get you into action to do something about getting real help from a counsellor/therapist. I find, I know Darlene has your personal safety at heart as she has for each of her visitors. Her woman heart is empowering in the words she writes in her comments. She has shared her own process to true healing after her own abuse. She's proved there is a good life after abuse to be lived. She's turn her abuse into a caring blessing for thousands. each day with her comments one knows she is the winner over abuse. So Bubbles. off your bottom now and get help. Tell and talk to trusting caring loving people called (FRIENDS) who will hug you to bits with love and respect. I can do it, I will do it, I must do it because I am worth it. I want the best for you Bubbles, you better want the best for you too. ''Right''
