 Pain into power...

Anthony, I'm delighted to learn that you've found a spiritual healer who has helped you through your turmoil, and that EFT and Yoga have both brought you peace and a sense of self worth. You deserve to have that in your life. And you have every reason to beam with pride for turning pain into power by becoming a youth worker. Your special insight will take you far in your role with these youth.

You said of your family, "My siblings all but disown me saying our dad wasn't like that, yet I can see things that they do show they too were victims." Sadly, your situation here is not at all uncommon. Often times, family members rally round the abuser, even when they themselves were victims of abuse by that abuser, ridiculous as that may sound. There are many factors at play when such denials occur, not the least of which the abused would rather live in denial than risk being exposed further. It's all very convoluted and crazy-making for the one who stands up to be heard. You showed a great deal of courage exposing your father and all those other nefarious perverts for what they truly were. Doing so without benefit of validation and support from family shows how strong you really are.

 Monsters for those men...

Anthony, what those evil men did to you was and still is pathetic and ungrateful. That's just crazy! I'm sorry that you never had good teachers; I'm sorry that you never had a good priest; I'm sorry that you never had a good family doctor; I'm sorry that you didn't have a good dad. Those animals should've been in jail for those terrible crimes that they committed against you...too bad one of them died from cancer (your so-called dad). However, I'm glad that you found a spiritual healer cuz he is so sweet for helping you! Stay strong, Anthony, just STAY STRONG!!!

my dad also did these things to me and my brothers and had other men join in just like you. im sorry it hapened to you but im glad you shared because i dont feel so alone and wrong now. it makes me think mabye if your ok well be ok to. so thank you
