 Your teacher MUST report...

Alex, your teacher has both a moral and legal obligation to report the abuse you disclosed. It is necessary in order to help keep you safe. There can be NO secrets when it comes to child abuse, Alex, otherwise the abuse goes on and children—YOU—will be forced to continue to endure what should not be endured. No one can help you until the proper agencies are contacted. You and your brother deserve to be safe, Alex. Neither of you deserve to be so mistreated. And the only way to get any of your "wishes" to come true is if CPS gets involved to help you both.

I strongly urge you to contact Child Help at 1-800-4-A-CHILD (1-800-422-4453) in order to talk to someone about the abuse you are still dealing with. They are staffed 24/7 with professionally trained counsellors who will listen to you. They are not a reporting agency, although they can help you through the process of reporting to the proper agency if you decide to disclose the abuse yourself.
