The following child abuse story from Matthew depicts sexual abuse, physical abuse and emotional abuse.

The child abuse effects on Matthew: extremely low self-esteem, abject despair, and as a child, Kyle was an elective mute (he chose not to speak at all)

Child Abuse Story From Matthew:

My dad committed suicide when I was 4. He did it in front of my brother, Kyle and me.

My stepdad, Dominic, started beating the shit out of me when I was 2. I was in the hospital all the time with burns, broken bones, cuts, and all that shit. I got taken away from my parents when I was 3, and came back when I was 4.

Me and Kyle were very close. I had 5 brothers and I was an elective mute until I was 4.

My stepdad starting raping me, making my brothers watch, when I was 4 till I was 15.

My brother, John is in an institution. Kyle is dead. Simon is dead and David has a small family. I am fucked up beyond repair. No one can help me or my brothers.

2nd Installment:

This is Matthew again. I'm gonna tell you the entire story.

When I was 2 my stepdad would look for me. When he was mad I'd be hiding under the bed or something and he'd drag me out.

I had a brother named Mark. When I was 5 Mark was 4. Mark peed his pants because Dominic thought it was fun making him hold it till he was crying and begging but when he peed his pants Dominic got pissed and he called me in there and when I went in there Mark was naked and crying he said "Matthew look what this little fuck did" and I started crying. My mom got the hot sauce out of the kitchen and brought it to him and he started shoving it down Mark's throat and we were screaming and crying and Mark ran in the living room and hid under the chair by the fireplace and Dominic ran in there and grabbed his head and started beating it in the ground and my mom was holding me back. When he stopped, blood was comming out of Mark's ears and Dominic was yelling for him to get up and he wouldn't get up so he got a metal plate from the stove and beat him till his head was all fucked up. He never went to jail.

He would rape me and beat me until I would talk, he would say. But I never talked. I only talked to Kyle.

Simon got into drugs and died from an overdose. Kyle got shot. John is schizophrenic and is never going to get better. I'm fucked up but I'll die before I go to an institution. My 2-year-old sister, Macy, is fucked up too.
