I would do two, possibly three things: One, I'd go to CPS myself and report what I knew about this teacher and the principal and the way the school board etc ruled. I would also bypass the normal chain, and go straight to your local congressman/senator and demand action. And failing a timely and satisfactory response, I'd go to the media. Bless you for your vigilance, Mike. Doing so will help to prevent it from happening again. Thank you for sharing this with my visitors and me.

 HIGH SCHOOL TEACHER THREATENS STUDENT WITH BODILY HARM

MY SON, AGE 15, WAS RECENTLY THREATENED WITH "BODILY HARM" BY A TEACH AT THE HIGH SCHOOL WHICH HE ATTENDS. I HAVE GOOGLED THIS AND ALL I GET IS STUDENTS VIOLATING TEACHERS RIGHTS. MY HUSBAND IS A LAWYER SO I AM CERTAIN HE WILL COME UP WITH THE APPROPRIATE ACTION TO TAKE. I JUST WANT TO VENT TO SOMEONE I GUESS. THIS IS THE ONLY AVENUE I HAVE COME ACROSS THAT SEEMS TO UNDERSTAND WHAT I AM REFERRING TO. THE TEACHER IS NOT ATTENDING SCHOOL RIGHT NOW; HOWEVER, WE HAVE NO IDEA WHAT ACTION IS BEING TAKEN, IF ANY. THE AUTHORITIES SEEM TO WANT TO SWEEP THIS UNDER THE RUG. I AM SO DISAPPOINTED WITH OUR PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM. I HAD OUR SON IN PRIVATE SCHOOL UNTIL HE REACHED 9TH GRADE. FINANCIALLY WE HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO ENROLL HIM IN PUBLIC SCHOOL. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE PARENTS, CHILDREN OR TEACHERS OF THIS GENERATION AND HAVE BECOME VERY DISENCHANTED WITH OUR SCHOOLS AS A WHOLE. I FEEL AS THOUGH WE ARE NOT PROTECTING OUR CHILDREN ANYMORE AND THEY CAN FEEL IT ALSO. MY SON'S FRIENDS COME TO OUR HOME TO VISIT ON WEEKENDS WITH NO MONEY TO SPEND.... THEY ARE JUST DROPPED OFF BY PARENTS WHO WISH TO GET "RID" OF THE KIDS AND BEING WHO I AM, I CANNOT LET THEM GO WITHOUT FOOD AND SHELTER. IT BREAKS MY HEART FOR THESE KIDS BECAUSE THEY SEEM TO BE SO THANKFUL TO ME FOR BEING THERE FOR THEM. WHAT IS HAPPENING OUT THERE? WHERE ARE OUR PARENTS? WHERE ARE OUR TEACHERS? WHAT ARE THEY DOING TO OUR CHILDREN? I WEEP FOR THESE KIDS.

GOD BLESS YOU AND THANK YOU FOR ALLOWING ME THE OPPORTUNITY TO SIMPLY GET SOME THINGS OFF MY CHEST. I INTEND TO FOLLOW CLOSELY WHAT HAPPENS WITH THE TEACHER WHO HAS THREATENED MY SON AND WILL NOT LET IT GO UNNOTICED.
