Awesome. Thanks.

You seem to be exactly where I am trying to go. I have still not successfully learned to "turn off" my thoughts. I find it impossible to sit still and silent without my mind wandering aimlessly. Your post is dead on for me. I realize that my thought are very repetitive and do absolutely nothing for me. Very interesting insight. Thank you for your post.

From Darlene: I'm delighted that this post has helped you. You are well on your way, Anonymous. Being aware is the beginning of your awakening. And aware you are. I'll share another gem that helps me tremendously when my mind wanders aimlessly, especially during meditations. Rather than beat myself up for having an aimless thought, which is counterproductive and will ultimately lead to the continuation of that thought, I accept that the thought is there and then I simply tell myself, without judgment, "Let this thought fall away." And the thought falls away. It takes practice, but what I found as I practiced this was that I was realizing I was having these aimless streams of thought much sooner than previously. And realizing this has helped me to stay in the Present moment. I hope it can do the same for you.

Thank you for YOUR post, Anonymous. It came at a very opportune time.
