Not only is Seth blessed to have you in his life; you're blessed to have him in yours. You've not only displayed love, but also dignity and respect for who he is and where he is in his life today; and he's responding in kind. When he's ready (if he's ever ready) he'll open up about what happened to him. What's important is trusting in the process, which is why I'm delighted you've taken him to a counselor and that he and the counselor have a trusting relationship. Without trust, there will be no progress. Keep up the great work, LC! You truly are an inspiration. The world is a better place as a result of BOTH you and Seth. Thank you for sharing yours and Seth's story with my visitors and me.

Thank you for the comments! Seth has gotten so much better with trust. We were also able to cut some of his hair out of his eyes due to his being much better about his insecurity. I got a call from the school saying he opened the door for a girl with crutches this morning at the beginning of class. I am very proud of him and his success, although he is still quite jumpy at certain things, especially noisy objects.
